Jenson Button has offered his candid assessment of Honda's 2007 challenge and threatened to quit the team if he fails to see improvements next season.
Expectation were high at the Japanese manufacturer this season, but their RA107 chassis fell way short of expectations and the British driver ended the season placed a lowly 15th in the drivers' championship.
The 27-year-old readily admitted that the season was frustrating and told the Mail on Sunday: "The car was a complete dog and I'm just not interested in racing like this any more."
"I remember after Hungary this year wanting to hit something. I'd won that same race 12 months previously and now I was there sitting in something which was undriveable."
The former Benetton, Renault and Williams driver warned that, unless Honda demonstrated a marked improvement next season, he would re-evaluate his future.
"I have to start winning and if I don't then I have to be ruthless," he explained. "There's an option in my contract which means we can all sit down and discuss the future at the end of the season.
"If things don't work out, that's exactly what I'll be doing.
"I'm not saying I expect to win the world title, but I do expect a dramatic improvement."
