Super Aguri have rubbished reports that Takuma Sato and Anthony Davidson have been confirmed for next season, the team saying they are still negotiating with both drivers.

The FIA recently published the '2008 FIA Formula One World Championship Entry List' which saw both Sato and Davidson's names listed under the team's entry.

However, with Super Aguri currently embroiled in sponsorship problems and the ongoing dispute over customer cars, neither driver has yet to sign a contract for this season's championship.

A team spokeswoman told Autosport: "The contracts of both drivers are still under negotiation."

The spokeswoman, however, added that the team would most likely retain both drivers for the 2008 season.

She said: "It is the team's intention to retain both for the sake of continuity and because we are very satisfied with them. But no contracts have been signed yet."

Super Aguri hope to run Honda customer cars in 2008; however, their plans - and those of Toro Rosso - could be scuppered by an arbitration case launched by Force India.

With an interim car in the wings for the opening 'flywaway' races, the team hope to run the customer car at the start of the European season.

Under F1 regulations, teams can change their nominated drivers up until the very start of the new season, which kicks off on March 16 with the Australian GP.
