Alonso: not a big problem
Fernando Alonso has denied rumours suggesting he has already signed a contract to race for Ferrari in 2010.
With reigning World Champion Kimi Raikkonen recently reiterating claims that he could quit F1 at the end of 2009, Ferrari could find themselves short a star driver.
That problem would be solved were the Scuderia to sign Alonso for the 2010 season onwards.
However, double World Champion Alonso has denied any contact between himself and the World Champion constructor.
"I was not talking to anyone there," he said at the Canadian Grand Prix. "I've seen many things written everywhere. It's not a big problem.
"It's also strange to read about 2010; we are in 2008. I don't know what I will do next year, so imagine in two years' time!
"There's nothing. Just rumours."
As for the rumour that Alonso could leave Renault at the end of this season if their form fails to improve, he added: "It is too early to speak about the future and too early for me to think about the future.
"It is only the seventh grand prix of the championship this year and there is a long way to go to the end.
"First of all I want to improve the results and the performance we are having now.
"The aim for the next two or three months is to be closer and closer to the podium which is the real target.
"There is enough to do to reach this target that I don't want to lose too much time on the future."
