Domenicali: clear future
Ferrari team boss Stefano Domenicali has urged his team to strive for perfection if they want to win this year's World Championship.
A mixed weekend for the Scuderia in Canada saw Felipe Massa's fifth place move him up to second place in the Drivers' Championship, four points behind new leader and Canadian Grand Prix winner Robert Kubica.
However, the Brazilian could have finished higher had a fuel rig problem not forced him to make an extra pit stop.
Meanwhile, team-mate Kimi Raikkonen dropped from second to fourth place in the standings after his collision with Lewis Hamilton put him out of the race.
The Finn now trails Kubica by seven points.
Ferrari also saw their lead in the Constructor's Championship cut to just three points thanks to BMW Sauber's one-two finish in Montreal, resulting in Domenicali urging the team to up their game.
"The near future for us is very clear," he said. "We need to go back to our standard in term of points.
"We need to work, be humble, we know that the others are pushing, BMW took a lot of points, McLaren not too many, but they are strong, they will be there.
"We need to keep on working, no mistakes, reliability. We saw that we paid for a problem on the rig, and that's it, that's the way we have to tackle the next grands prix, not only France."
Domenicali also spoke of the title threat posed by BMW Sauber, adding that Ferrari no longer have only McLaren Mercedes to worry about.
"I said at the beginning of the season that I was expecting McLaren first and BMW second as our main competitors," he said.
"It was a really good race for BMW, no mistakes, easy, I would say because of the situation. They are there, they are strong. We need to fight them.
"It is in these conditions when you really feel the need to react and be very strong because you see that we have all the elements that are ready for the fight.
"We know that our competitors are strong, no doubt, but the Championship is long and we will see. We will fight until the end."
Nico Rosberg and Kazuki Nakajima are expecting a tough time in China this weekend.
BMW duo Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica are hoping for better luck in Shanghai.
The Chinese GP holds a lot of good memories for Rubens Barrichello and Jenson Button.
