Button: Hoping for comeback
Jenson Button believes he can bounce back form his disappointing run of form to star at one of his favourite tracks at the French Grand Prix.
Button drove his Honda to sixth place and his first points of the campaign in Spain at t he end of April, but has since slumped down the pecking order.
Consecutive 11th-placed finishes in Turkey, Monaco and Canada represented a nose-dive in Buttons' performances, while team-mate Rubens Barrichello has managed a sixth and seventh in Monte Carlo and Montreal.
Button hopes returning to one of his favourite circuits at Magny Cours will help him to find his best form again.
The British driver has finished fifth and fourth at the track when driving for BAR and the 28-year-old believes it can provide the spark he is needing.
"I'm looking forward to the race, particularly after a disappointing weekend in Canada where we were really off the pace," said Button.
"I've had some good results in Magny Cours previously and the race can be quite exciting, so I expect us to have a better weekend there."
Team principal Ross Brawn has high expectations for the weekend, saying Honda will be back in the chasing pack in France.
"Whilst Rubens led the last race in Canada for a short time and scored valuable points, we are fully aware his race was helped by the safety car and retirements," said Brawn.
"But I expect a stronger performance this weekend and we will be looking to get into the points on the merit of the car's performance."
