Hamilton: expected to make full recovery from neck injury
Lewis Hamilton will be fine to race at the Belgian GP despite almost missing last Sunday's race in Valencia.
Hamilton suffered severe neck pain that almost sidelined him in Spain, resulting in him needing injections in order to compete in both qualifying and the race.
However, McLaren CEO Martin Whitmarsh is confident the British driver will not suffer the same fate when he tests at Monza on Friday before heading to Spa next weekend.
"His physical problems are unlikely to disturb his fitness programme and we expect him to make a full recovery for both the Monza test and next week's Belgian GP," Whitmarsh said.
