The Canadian Grand Prix has been dropped from the 2009 Formula One calendar.
Formula One's FIA governing body has issued a revised calendar with the Turkish Grand Prix moving from August to June to allow a summer break for teams.
However, the season is unchanged elsewhere and remains 18 races long.
There will therefore be no North American round after the US Grand Prix at Indianapolis was dropped this year.
Bar a sabbatical in 1987, the Canadian Grand Prix has been held every year at Montreal's Circuit Gilles Villeneuve since 1978.
