Alonso: two-time world champion
Luca Montezemolo insists Ferrari have no regrets about not signing Fernando Alonso when they had the chance.
In the wake of Ferrari's decision to re-sign Kimi Raikkonen, questions have been raised about the team's call given Raikkonen's poor form and Alonso's availability.
However, di Montezemolo is adament that Ferrari have made the right decision in keeping the Finn instead of signing the Spanish two-time world champion.
"That could have been the case four years ago, now I'm happy as we are," the Ferrari President told the Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper.
"We are trying to win the title with a different driver from last year and both of them are winning the Constructors' for us.
"If there is one thing giving us no problems, that's the drivers. Except for a non-elating second half of the season for Raikkonen, Massa has done an extraordinary season."
Paul di Resta was many people's rookie of the year in 2011 as he helped Force India to sixth in the constructor's standings.
