Nelson Piquet: poor season
Nelson Piquet Jr's future in F1 remains unclear as Renault have yet to decide whether to retain the Brazilian for next season.
Piquet Jr, who spent last year testing with Renault, made the step up to race driver this season but has largely failed to impress.
He scored just two points in his first nine races and suffered six non-finishers, sparking rumours that he could be replaced before the season is out.
However, he fought back to finish on the podium at the Hungarian GP and subsequently finished in the points at three other races thereby helping Renault achieve fourth place in this year's Constructors' Championship.
But whether it's enough to ensure team boss Flavio Briatore hands him a 2009 Renault race-seat remains to be seen.
"It's Flavio's decision and I'm sure we will know in due time. All I can do is concentrate on doing the best job I can in the final race," he told Eurosport.
Paul di Resta was many people's rookie of the year in 2011 as he helped Force India to sixth in the constructor's standings.
