Buemi: Quick decision expected
Sebastien Buemi is hoping to learn ahead of the Jerez test in December whether or not he's landed a Toro Rosso race seat for 2009.
The Swiss driver tested for the team at Barcelona this week, going up against Sebastien Bourdais and Takuma Sato, with all three drivers vying for a race seat for next season.
Sato proved to be the quickest of the trio on Tuesday - the only day when all three were in action.
The experienced Japanese driver also finished ahead of Buemi on Monday, while on Wednesday Bourdais, who raced for Toro Rosso this season gone, got the better of the GP2 driver.
Nevertheless, the 20-year-old, who was also the team's test and reserve driver in 2008, is still hopeful of graduating to the top flight.
"We expect a decision soon," he told autosport.com
"For the team it's really important to make a decision and to try to have a test before Christmas with the proper drivers for next year.
"But up to now I don't know anything. I just try to do my best, it's the only thing I can do."
