Frenchman Franck Montagny has held informal talks with USF1 about driving for them during the 2010 Formula One world championship.

Montagny had a seven-race stint with the now defunct Super Aguri team in 2006 and was also a former Renault and Toyota test driver.

The 31-year-old has revealed that he exchanged emails with Peter Windsor, one of USF1's team principals.

"But they are having these kind of talks with all third drivers of the existing teams," Montagny told L'Equipe. "Nothing has been signed."

Montagny is also in talks with IndyCar team Andretti Green Racing about racing for them in 2010.

"I think the relationship was fine and there is a possibility that we renew this common experience before the end of the year," he added.
