Raikkonen: engine change
World Champion Kimi Raikkonen has confirmed that he will use his one free engine change at this weekend's British Grand Prix.
The Ferrari driver's engine suffered damage after an exhaust pipe broke when Raikkonen was leading the French Grand Prix the weekend before last.
Under last year's rules changing engines after just one race would have earned the Finn a ten-grid slot penalty.
However, the regulations have been amended to allow all drivers one free change per season, with Raikkonen using his this weekend at Silverstone.
"I'll use a new engine because the team doesn't want to risk anything, although the rules say that you will not be punished if you have to change the engine," he told autosport.com.
