Here are a few interesting facts about this weekend's British Grand Prix at Silverstone:

The 2008 British Grand Prix marks the 60th anniversary since the Northamptonshire track held its first ever race.

A record crowd of 240 000 people are expected at Silverstone this year - the first time ever that the British Grand Prix is sold out.

Silverstone expects 2 500 guests to arrive by helicopter and will be operating two heliports as a result.

2,800 bottles of champagne and 900 bottles of wine will be consumed at this weekend's race.

Three Brits (Lewis Hamilton, David Coulthard and Jenson Button) will take part in this year's British Grand Prix. Jim Clark, Graham Hill and John Surtees' 1-2-3 finish in 1965 was the last time three British drivers were on the podium together.

Twenty four giant screens at various locations will allow fans to view all the action from the British GP.

Fast trains from London Euston to Milton Keynes take just 30 minutes so it's possible to get to the British Grand Prix from the capital in under an hour.

The Backbeat Beatles will be the headline act at the post race Grand Prix Party at Silverstone on Sunday. All race day ticket holders will be able to enjoy the live music and view guest appearances by current and former F1 drivers.
