In the wake of Adam Balding's fractured cheekbone, Gloucester have cited Worcester forward Drew Hickey for 'dangerous charging'.
Balding has been ruled out until November following the triple fracture he received during the Sixways clash, and Gloucester officials are furious with the role played by Hickey in the incident.
The Gloucester captain is set to undergo surgery this week, and is set for a frustrating wait for his return to action after playing just six minutes of the new season.
Hickey will now face the Rugby Football Union disciplinary panel on Tuesday, with the likely punishment anything up to 12 weeks.
Meanwhile, Saracens' Nicky Little has been cited by London Irish for an incident involving Ross Laidlaw during their Guinness A League encounter.
