Kerr: Looking to finish the season on a winning note
Team Great Britain driver Robbie Kerr is hoping for a repeat performance at Brands Hatch in the final A1GP of the season.
The former British Formula Three Champion managed to record a win on home soil last year when he came home first in the Sprint Race.
He also came second in the Feature Race that followed, helping Team GB finish in third place in the final overall standings.
Now Kerr is back on his own patch for the climax of the 2007/08 campaign, bringing back memories of his excellent performance last year.
"It's great to be back at Brands Hatch," he told Sky Sports News. "They'll be plenty of red, white and blue in the crowd.
"Having a win and a pole position in front of the home crowd last year was fantastic.
"It's added pressure for this weekend I know, but we want to go out and perform well again this year."
Great Britain go into the weekend knowing a victory could push them above France and see them finish third again, with Switzerland and New Zealand fighting it out for the title.
However, Kerr insists his major focus is on how his team do rather than the French, who take a 12-point gap heading into the season finale.
"We've got to focus on ourselves, go out there and try and get pole position and the race victory and then wait and see," he added.
"If we do that, I'm pretty certain we can do the job.
"Obviously you always want to win the championship, that's the goal at the start of each year.
"But it is great to be in the position to be in third place again and show the team's consistency."
