Roma have agreed a deal to sign Bari midfielder Stefano Guberti.

Guberti will join Roma on a free transfer when his contract with Bari expires at the end of June.

The 24-year-old has agreed a four-year deal to make the move to the Stadio Olimpico.

Guberti enjoyed an impressive season with Bari last term helping them win promotion to Serie A, but Roma have managed to lure him away from Bari.

"We are delighted about this deal," the player's agent, Claudio De Nicola, told the Italian press.

"Stefano moves to Rome with top motivation, we strongly wanted to join them despite offers from all around the peninsula.

"With this contract my client becomes an established top-flight player, who is now looking to prove his worth even further by playing in Serie A."
