Skysports.com understands Wolves are closing in on the signing of Croatian international Jerko Leko.

The Premier League new boys are believed to have agreed a fee with Monaco for the midfielder as Mick McCarthy continues his rebuilding plans.

Wolves have moved quickly to try and lure Leko to Molineux by agreeing a deal with French side Monaco.

Leko is expected to arrive in England later this week for talks with Wolves and a possible medical.

The 29-year-old would add versatility to McCarthy's squad as he can play anywhere across midfield and has a wealth of experience having won over 50 caps for Croatia.
