Sweden international Rasmus Elm is expected to join AZ Alkmaar after confirming he has reached a decision over his future.

The Everton target did not reveal his next destination, but it is widely anticipated that he will join the Dutch champions this week.

Kalmar ace Elm, who has been linked with several clubs in Europe this summer, is expected to travel to Holland to undergo a medical before putting pen-to-paper.

Elm admitted he spent a long time considering his next move, but is happy with the decision he has reached.

"I have considered many things and it feels very good for me," he told Sportbladet.

"But it was a tough decision, I have thought cautiously, long and hard."
