Sebastian Larsson's agent says the player is happy at Birmingham amid talks about prolonging the Sweden international's stay at the club.

The 24-year-old joined the Blues from Arsenal in 2007 and has gone on to become an integral part of the Alex McLeish's midfield.

His current deal expires at the end of the season and talks have opened about keeping the Swede at St Andrews.

His agent, Per Jonsson, has previously refused to comment on suggestions that his client was to be offered a bumper five-year deal of £40,000-a-week.

Despite other clubs showing an interest in the midfielder, Jonsson says Larsson is happy at St Andrews, although the Blues will have to pay the Swede the salary he deserves.

Economical conditions

Jonsson told Expressen: "He will probably not make more money at another club and he likes it at Birmingham.

"He plays on a regular basis in the best league in the world and the club has great trust in him.

"We have a dialogue with Birmingham but as there is no transfer sum involved we think that he should have the economical conditions he deserves."
