Having completed the signing River Plate striker Marco Ruben, Villarreal have decided to loan him out to Recreativo Huelva immediately.

Ruben has signed a five-and-a-half year deal with Villarreal, but the top flight outfit feel the 21-year-old would benefit from spending the remainder of the season with Recreativo.

It is thought the deal has cost Villarreal in the region of €4.78million (£3.5million) and they are confident their latest acquisition will prove value for money in the long-term.

"Marco Gaston Ruben Rodriguez has signed for this season and five more years," read an official statement.

"The player will be loaned to Recreativo Huelva until June 30, 2008."
