Danish goalkeeper Mikkel Andersen has revealed he has agreed a new contract with Reading.

Andersen has yet to make a first-team appearance for the Royals since joining the club from AB Copenhagen in 2007.

However, the 20-year-old, who is currently on loan at Brighton, sees his long-term future at the Madejski Stadium and has penned fresh terms with the club.

He told Bold.dk: "I have signed a new two-and-a-half-year contract. It was really nice to finally get it agreed.

"I have been given the impression that I am a player they are counting on for the future.

"I am aiming (to one day be first choice), and I want Reading to know that's what I am heading for.

"I am not just another goalkeeper who is happy to be on the bench."
