Malaga have announced the signings of defender Patrick Mtiliga from NAC Breda and goalkeeper Gustavo Munua from Deportivo La Coruna.

Left-back Mtiliga arrives on a two-year contract with a view to an additional 12 months if the 28-year-old impresses sufficiently.

Uruguayan Munua moves from Spanish rivals Deportivo on a free transfer after Malaga offered the shot-stopper a one-season deal.

Both transfers represent the work of newly-appointed coach Juan Ramon Lopez Muniz, who recently replaced Antonio Tapia.

Malaga finished eighth in La Liga last season and hopes are high that they will be able to kick on in the forthcoming campaign.
