Hearts have completed the signing of Spanish winger Suso Santana on a three-year deal.

The 24-year-old spent last season on loan with Spanish second-tier side Fuerteventura and has joined the Tynecastle club at the end of his contract with Tenerife.

Suso believes the Jambos fans will appreciate his incisive, attacking play and expects to be able to swiftly come to terms with the Scottish Premier League.

"I like to take players on one versus one and provide the final pass into the box. I am a quick player, and an aggressive player," he told Hearts World.

Physicality

"Everybody likes to score goals and I am like everyone. I scored nine goals last season at Fuerteventura.

"In the Spanish second division there is a similarity with the physicality and I will have to get used to that straight away in Scotland."

Suso is also looking forward to tasting European competition for the first time when Csaba Laszlo's side begin their Europa League campaign in two months.

"It is very exciting to be involved in this sort of competition," he said.

"I want to work hard and help the club do as well as possible."
