Former Grimsby forward Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro has joined Rochdale on a two-year deal.

Akpa Akpro recently left the Mariners after turning down a new contract and is delighted to have joined Keith Hill's men.

Rochdale will play in League One this season after winning promotion and Akpa Akpro hopes to make an impact.

He said: "There is a good feeling here and Keith and Dave (Flitcroft) certainly made the decision to come here an easy one.

"I'm really looking forward to working with them and the rest of the squad and playing my part in the team and hopefully getting as many goals as possible."
