Reigning Primera Liga champions Barcelona have finalised a deal for Sevilla full-back Adriano.

The Brazilian, who can also operate in midfield, has penned a four-year contract at Camp Nou.

The 25-year-old put the finishing touches to the move on Saturday, with new Barca president Sando Rosell on hand to oversee proceedings.

Adriano has the option for a further 12 months on his deal should he impress sufficiently during his time in Catalunya.

Barcelona have revealed that they have paid an initial €9million (£7.6m) in order to land the player, with that figure set to rise to a possible €13.5million (£11.4m) should certain criteria be met.

Adriano, who has eight caps for Brazil to his name, leaves Sevilla after five years of loyal service.
