Hartlepool have completed the signing of striker James Poole from Manchester City on a permanent basis.

The 21-year-old, who made six appearances for Pools during a two-month loan spell earlier in the season, has signed for an undisclosed fee. The length of contract is not known as the League One club do not release details.

Poole, who came through the academy at Manchester City without making a first-team appearance, scored for Pools with a fine header in the home win over Brighton in November.
