St Mirren have completed the signing of Dutch left-back Jeroen Tesselaar.

The 22-year-old has signed a one-year contract after international clearance came through for his transfer this afternoon.

Tesselaar impressed manager Danny Lennon on trial following his departure from AZ Alkmaar.

St Mirren said earlier this week that the deal had been agreed, but that they were waiting on the approval from the Dutch Football Association.

Lennon had said on Thursday: "We are still waiting on confirmation from the Dutch FA. We have been calling them and the SFA on a daily basis, so we still await clearance.

"Everything has been agreed with the player and we are now anxious to get this concluded."
