Rangers manager Walter Smith has confirmed Fulham's interest in striker Daniel Cousin.

As revealed by skysports.com earlier this week Fulham made a move for the Gabon international as they look to bolster their attacking options.

The 30-year-old joined Rangers from Lens last August for around £1million and has scored eight goals in 17 SPL matches.

"We've had an enquiry from Fulham," said Smith. "We've turned that down and there's been nothing else since then."

Cousin is believed to have a release clause in his contract allowing him to leave for £3million but Smith was refusing to get involved in the player's contract.

"I don't get involved in that aspect of things," added Smith. "If there is a clause we've not reached that level yet."

Meanwhile, Smith has rejected reports linking Tottenham with a new bid for Alan Hutton.

Spurs had a bid for the Scottish international accepted earlier this month, only for the player to snub their overtures and stay at Ibrox.

However, widespread reports on Tuesday suggested Spurs were preparing to rekindle their interest in the full-back, but Smith says there have been no fresh developments.

"There's nothing on that one, nothing has changed," concluded Smith.
