Johnson: Summer plans
Bristol City manager Gary Johnson plans to make 'two or three' summer signings as he plots another promotion push.
City came so close to securing Premier League football, only to fall at the final hurdle against Hull City in the Championship play-off final.
Johnson is confident he has the nucleus of a successful squad at his disposal, and will not be making sweeping changes to his staff.
He told the club's official website: "We are progressing, that's for sure. We have our targets that we are following up and there are lots of things to do.
"A lot of the clubs doing business at the moment had already arranged for the deals to happen before the end of the season almost.
"There's a lot more speculation than actual players signing for clubs.
"I could reveal 100 names but really it's the two or three that we do sign to improve our squad that fans will be interested in.
"The important thing is we were relatively successful last year at this level so we know we haven't got to do what Paul Jewell is looking to do at Derby with wholesale changes.
"We think we've got some players worthy of this level anyway, so we're looking for two or three, not 10 or 11."
