Deco is worried that Barcelona's valuation of him could scupper a summer move away from Camp Nou.

The Portuguese playmaker is keen to bring an end to his four-year stay in Catalunya, and has been linked with Chelsea and Internazionale.

The Blues have recently appointed Luiz Felipe Scolari as their new boss, Deco's coach at international level, while his former boss at Porto, Jose Mourinho, has taken the hot-seat at Inter.

The Premier League side are believed to hold the upper hand in the race for his signature, with a £15million move seemingly imminent.

However, having made it clear that he is actively seeking a move, Deco believes that Barca may be tempted to up their asking price as they seek to get the best possible deal.

This may jeopardise any chance the midfielder has of leaving Spain, as at 30- years-old clubs will be unwilling to pay over the odds for a player approaching the twilight of his career.

"At my age you cannot ask too much for me," said Deco.
