New Wolfsburg boss Armin Veh is adamant that star striker Edin Dzeko will not be sold this summer.

The Bundesliga champions have seen interest in their Bosnian hit-man rise substantially over recent weeks.

Serie A giants AC Milan have led the hunt for his signature, admitting that they have made the talented 23-year-old their top target.

However, their efforts have so far proved fruitless and Veh insists no amount of money will persuade Wolfsburg into a sale.

"We have no reason to discuss this, we have decided that Edin is going nowhere," he told Wolfsburger Allgmeine Zeitung.

"He is so important to our team and we have high hopes for next season. We cannot afford to let him leave."

Meanwhile, Veh has also confirmed that he expects last season's top scorer Grafite to pen an extension to his current contract in the not too distant future.

"At Wolfsburg we have built something special and we are going to work hard to keep it," he added.

"Therefore we need a strong team and a strong frontline. I am happy to see the talks with Grafite over a new deal have reached an advanced stage."
