Ligue 1 giants Lyon are reportedly tracking Porto's highly-rated defender Aly Cissokho.

The French full-back appeared destined to be on his way to AC Milan this summer until medical problems saw that deal collapse.

The Serie A side were believed to be interested in resurrecting a move for the 21-year-old, but are yet to make their move.

French outfit Lyon are now ready to pounce and are said to be preparing an offer of around €12million (£10.3m).

Cissokho admits he would be willing to discuss the prospect of heading to Lyon, but his experiences with Milan have taught him not to raise his hopes.

"To play for Lyon would be great, but I don't want to get excited like I did with Milan and then see everything fall down," he told skysports.com.

"At the moment I am relaxed, whether next season I play for Porto or Lyon."
