Zamora: Set to stay at Fulham
Fulham boss Roy Hodgson believes Bobby Zamora will reject a move to Hull City as he continues his pursuit of Peter Crouch.
Hull have had a £5million offer for Zamora accepted and the striker has held talks with Phil Brown over a switch to the KC Stadium.
Brown is awaiting a decision from the 28-year-old after confirming the club will not improve their 'lucrative' offer regarding personal terms.
However, it appears the Tigers are set for further frustration in the transfer market after Hodgson expressed his belief that Zamora will be staying at Craven Cottage.
"We allowed Bobby to talk to Hull, but he wants to stay with us and I'm delighted," said Hodgson in the News of the World.
"He didn't score many goals last season, but he will this time because he is a very good technician."
Reports had claimed that Zamora's future at Fulham hinged on Hodgson's bid to sign England international Crouch from Portsmouth.
Hodgson has ruled out such a scenario and remains hopeful of winning the race for Crouch despite Pompey accepting an offer from Tottenham for the forward.
"This will not end our pursuit of Crouch," said Hodgson regarding the Zamora situation.
"We have spoken to Portsmouth and to the player's agent about wages and I am hopeful something will happen."
