AC Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani has once more affirmed that Ronaldinho will not leave the club this summer.

Speculation has grown that the Brazilian trickster is set for a return to his homeland to play for Flamengo, after two years in Italy.

The 30-year-old attacker has one year left on his existing deal at the San Siro and Galliani insists there are no talks with the South American club.

He told calciomercato.com: "He is coming back to Italy with his brother. There has been no request to leave on his part and no offer from Flamengo or other clubs.

"Ronaldinho has a contract with AC Milan and there is no (loophole) clause as I read in some newspapers.

"He will play next season for Milan."

There is also continued speculation linking the Rossoneri with a move for Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko, while fellow Serie A side Juventus are also interested.

But Galliani denied that the club are pursuing the signature of the Bosnian forward. "No there is no negotiation," he added.

He did concede, however, that negotiations with Genoa for defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos are near to a conclusion.

He remarked: "For Genoa defender Sokratis there is a negotiation in progress, but it is not yet complete."
