Bastian Schweinsteiger: Expected to miss the rest of 2011 after breaking his collarbone
Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger is making good progress in his recovery from a broken collarbone.
The 27-year-old had a plate inserted in his right shoulder after sustaining the injury following a heavy fall in the 3-2 UEFA Champions League win over Napoli on 2nd November.
Schweinsteiger is expected to miss the rest of 2011, with the German league set to break for winter on 18th December.
But the Germany international said: "Things are going well for me, I don't have pain anymore.
"The doctor has done a good job. Now it's just a matter of time until everything grows back together again."
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has told Ivica Olic that he is going nowhere this winter by ruling out any sales during the transfer window.
Croatia striker Olic has repeatedly stated that he will have to seek a move if he is unable to break into the first team by Christmas, but Rummenigge has ruled that out.
"We are certainly not going to sell anybody," Rummenigge told Bayern's official website. "The coach does not want that and we fully agree with him.
"We have a really small squad with only 20 players and we are probably below the limit in terms of quantity.
"I hope that we remain in all three competitions beyond the winter break and we will then need at least this squad."
