Dagenham boss John Still was a happy man after his side's 14-13 shoot-out win at Leyton Orient in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
Sam Williams had put the visitors in front on 64 minutes on Wednesday night but the O's levelled two minutes from time through David Mooney to make the score 1-1 after 90 minutes and set up the penalty shoot-out thriller.
All 11 players including the two keepers netted their spot-kicks and when the next round of penalties started, the first five were all converted before Daggers keeper James Shea saved Ben Chorley's effort.
Still said: "When we asked for penalty takers, they all wanted to take one and the quality of the penalties from both sides was outstanding. I was just hoping it wasn't going to go down to the managers having to take one!
"When it comes to penalties, anything can happen.
"I thought that we did very well in the 90 minutes to be honest, Orient had a good year last year although they've not had such a good year this time but I always put things in context."
