Caen starlet Sambou Yatabare is understood to be attracting interest from England.

Yatabare is yet to break into Caen's first-team - but a bright future is already being predicited for the midfielder.

The 19-year-old has attracted scouts from a number of clubs and both Everton and Newcastle are reported to be showing particular interest in the youngster.

Yatabare, though, is concentrating on making the breakthrough with Caen.

"My goal is to make it into the first-team, preferably by the end of this season," he said.

"I would like to make it in Ligue 1."

Yatabare has also attracted attention on the international stage as Mali and France have been competing over his allegiance.

And he has confirmed in recent days that he intends to play for the African nation, despite France Under 21 coach Eric Mombaerts trying his best to convince Yatabare.
