Stephanie Rice set a new world record for the women's 200 metres individual medley at the Australian Olympic trials.
The 19-year-old came home in a time of two minutes 08.92 seconds, slicing 0.80 off the previous mark set by China's Wu Yanyan in 1997.
"I'm swimming really, really well and have had a good preparation," she said.
"I was coming into tonight not to think about the record and just about myself. That is a huge, huge personal best."
It is the second record for Rice at the event in Sydney - she had already broken the previous best time for 400 individual medley record on Saturday.
Her time of four minutes 31.46 seconds, easily her career best, shaved 1.43 seconds off American Katie Hoff's effort of 4:32.89.
