Team USA need just two more points to lift the Mosconi Cup, however Europe produced their best day so far to trail 9-5 going into the final day.

Mika Immonen inspired the visitors' fightback, combing with Ralf Souquet to win their doubles encounter before edging out Oscar Dominguez in the singles.

USA held a 7-2 lead going into Saturday, however European duo Niels Feijen and Thorsten Hohmann emphatically reduced the deficit in the opening match with a 6-1 victory over Dennis Hatch and Corey Deuel.

Souquet and Immonen then stepped up to make it 7-4 with a 6-4 victory over Shane van Boening and Dominguez, but American rookie Hatch kept Europe at arms length by edging out Feijen.

And although Deuel and Johnny Archer teamed up to put USA further in command, Immonen kept Europe in contention with a vital 6-4 victory over Dominguez last up.
