Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney admits he will be more nervous watching his side's FA Cup semi-final than he would be if he was playing. The 25-year-old England international is suspended for Saturday's crunch encounter with rivals Manchester City at Wembley after swearing into a television camera a fortnight ago. His actions during the encounter with West Ham have caused widespread outrage, while certain quarters feel the two-match ban handed out by the Football Association is too harsh a punishment. Rooney has already missed a Premier League match with Fulham and claims he will be a nervous spectator this weekend. "As most footballers will tell you, it's probably more nerve-racking watching a game than it is playing in it," he said. "It's always disappointing when you don't play in games, especially such a big one as it is on Saturday. "But I believe we have got a good chance of winning and I am hoping the boys can pull through and get us to the final." Meanwhile, Rooney admits that he is continually driven to achieve the best at United by experienced team-mates Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes. "I've been lucky enough to play with Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes and you cannot put it into words how well they have done," he added. "You see Giggs winning games for us at his age. It shows why he is such a big idol for us all in the dressing room, especially the younger players, who can see how he handles himself. "We all hope that when we come to the end of our careers we can have nearly as much success as him."
