Slaven Bilic's agent has suggested the Croatian would be interested in joining Portsmouth after claiming to have rejected an approach from Scotland.
Portsmouth sacked Paul Hart on Tuesday and have appointed former Chelsea manager Avram Grant as his replacement at Fratton Park.
There have been suggestions that Pompey will look to bring in a head coach to work under Grant, with Bilic among the names in the frame.
Bilic is currently in charge of the Croatia national team and his international commitments back in the summer scuppered reported interest from Portsmouth at that time.
He is now willing to get into club management after his representative Rudi Vata claimed interest from Scotland about taking over from George Burley was rebuffed.
"I recently had a request about the Scotland national team and Bilic was not interested in that at the moment," Vata told The News. "We have had no concrete news on Portsmouth.
"He was heavily involved with the Croatian national team in the summer and couldn't make any move. Now he is in a position where he can sit down and study all of the offers available.
"The English Premier League is one of the top leagues in Europe. But I wouldn't think he would be put off by Portsmouth's position.
"It all depends on the offer if one came in. He wants to make the right decision and he wants to make the right move.
"There are clubs in Germany and England who are interested in him."
Meanwhile, former Inter Milan coach Roberto Mancini's agent Giorgio De Giorgis has ruled out the Italian taking on any role at Fratton Park.
De Giorgis said: "Roberto has been linked with 16 clubs all over Europe, but so far there have not been any talks with them.
"I do not like to speak about him at this point, I do not feel it is right. But I can say there is no truth in any of the talk about Portsmouth."
