Nottingham Panthers have signed former Tampa Bay Lightning defenceman Mario Larocque.
The Canadian could arrive in time to make his debut in Saturday's home Elite League clash against bitter rivals Sheffield Steelers.
Larocque played five games in the NHL for Tampa Bay and was also signed by Buffalo Sabres.
Player-coach Corey Neilson said: "He is going to help the team. He is a solid defenceman with good skills and can play as tough as is needed."
