Thompson: Another victory
Coventry Blaze remain on top of the Elite League table following a comfortable 5-2 road victory over Newcastle Vipers on Saturday night.
Brian Lee bagged a brace and other strikes from Dan Carlson, Adam Calder and Greg Chambers saw Paul Thompson's complete another impressive away win.
Tyler Kindle and Jason Tejchma had put the home side into a 2-1 lead in the first period, however the Vipers remain in fourth following the defeat.
Belfast Giants are level on points with Blaze at the top after they registered their fifth successive win at the expense of Hull Stingrays.
The rock-bottom visitors gave a decent account of themselves at Odyssey Arena, however the home side romped to a 5-2 win.
Tim Cook scored twice for Giants with the other counters coming from Colin Shields, Evan Cheverie and Jeff Szwez, while Konstantin Kalmikov and Lee Mitchell found the net for Stingrays.
