Randy Orton left WWE champion Triple H in a ball of rage on Monday Night RAW after delivering a devastating RKO to the 12-time champion.
Less than two weeks before the heavyweight title is up for grabs on Judgement Day, Orton added further spice to what promises to be a gargantuan battle inside the steel cage.
Once more it was Raw general manger and newly crowned King of the Ring William Regal who was at the heart of the controversy.
The English GM stamped his authority on the evening by pitting Triple H with Mr. Kennedy in a handicap match with an array of ECW stars.
The unlikely RAW duo held their own against CM Punk, The Miz & John Morrison, Chavo Guerrero & Bam Neely, Shelton Benjamin, Tommy Dreamer, Kofi Kingston, Stevie Richards, Elijah Burke, Matt Striker, Nunzio, Mike Knox and ECW Champion Kane.
However, as The Game toiled against the extreme squad, the Legend Killer pounced on the champion before delivering a shattering RKO.
Orton may have gained the initiative ahead of the title bout, but Triple H is almost certain to reap his revenge before the pair clash in the steel entrapment on May 18.
Regal has also granted JBL his wish at having another crack at John Cena as the pair look set to recommence their rivalry which began at WrestleMania XXIV.
Also featuring on Judgement Day is Intercontinental champion Chris Jericho, Y2J will go one-on-one with HBK Shawn Michaels after tension between the pair has increased in recent weeks.
The beer drinking, jaw breaking, baddest son of a gun in the WWE - Stone Cold Steve Austin left his mark on Wrestling.
