The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase made a spectacular return to the WWE on Monday night, as special guest host of RAW.
The WWE legend entered the arena in San Jose, California, flanked by his son Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes and immediately announced the duo would battle Edge and Chris Jericho for the unified tag team titles at the forthcoming Night of Champions pay-per-view.
But it was not all favouritism from the ring veteran, The Million Dollar Man pitted Rhodes against The World's Strongest Man Mark Henry and his son against WWE champion Randy Orton later in the night.
New RAW acquisition Henry first dominated Rhodes from the off, prompting the second generation superstar to earn himself an intentional count-out defeat.
The younger DiBiase had also been reluctant to take on his Legacy leader Orton before the champion suggested his opponent could never win.
But that served to light a fire under Orton's henchman, who put in a sterling effort against The Viper, before eventually losing out to a devastating RKO.
Orton did not have it all his own way, though, and will face off against Triple H and John Cena in a Triple Threat Match for the WWE title at the Night of Champions after The Legacy caused his two opponents to be disqualified from their one-on-one encounter.
Evan Bourne and United States champion Kofi Kingston served up a real treat for the fans with their acrobatic encounter, meanwhile.
Former ECW star Bourne hit his stunning Air Bourne finisher for the win, before the both were levelled by the Big Show.
Edge and Chris Jericho also successfully defended their unified tag team championships against former holders Carlito and Primo.
And Mickie James and Gail Kim teamed up to overcome divas champion Maryse and Alicia Fox.
