Ricky "The Hitman" Hatton took centre stage as the special guest host of WWE's flagship Monday Night RAW in Sheffield.

Hatton stamped his authority on the show right from the start by announcing a blockbuster main event between the WWE Unified Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho and Big Show and fans favourites D-Generation X.

However, Hatton himself ultimately made the headlines in Sheffield after he challenged Chavo Guerrero to a boxer versus wrestler match.

When the contest got underway, The Hitman struck with a knockout punch to the WWE superstar, which left Chavo struggling to answer the count of ten, much to the delight of the fans in attendance.

Triple H and Shawn Michaels of D-Generation X also gave the fans reason to cheer as they defeated The Unified Tag Team champions.

The match culminated with Michaels attempting Sweet Chin Music, but Jericho ducked and tried to apply the Walls of Jericho which The Heartbreak Kid managed to counter.

Michaels then took Jericho to the corner of the ring, where The Big Show then charged at both men. Big Show then attempted a knockout punch to Shawn, who ducked in the nick of time, which resulted in Jericho getting knocked out instead.

Last laugh

Triple H then clothes-lined The Big Show over the top rope whilst Shawn recorded the one-two-three over Jericho.

WWE champion John Cena joined the announce team at ringside to commentate on the main event encounter. And in the end it was the champ who had the last laugh after it was announced that next week's main event match would be D-Generation X versus Jerishow versus John Cena and The Undertaker.

Also this week on RAW, Irishman Sheamus continued on his path of destruction by physically dominating local competition, meanwhile high-flyer Evan Bourne hit Air Bourne to score a huge victory over Jack Swagger.

MVP and Mark Henry introduced Kofi Kingston as the special guest of the VIP lounge, but as luck would have it, Legacy imposed themselves on the said feature, to voice their opinion on the upcoming elimination match at Survivor Series.

After a heated confrontation with rival Kingston, The Viper Randy Orton went on to defeat The World's Strongest Man Mark Henry courtesy of a devastating RKO.

Finally, number one contender for the Divas championship Alicia Fox defeated Kelly Kelly courtesy of a devastating scissors kick to the back of the neck.
