Punk: Morale-boosting win
CM Punk visits the land of extreme and gains the upper hand ahead of Survivor Series this Sunday on Sky Box Office.
This week, the land of extreme featured a double-branded tag team battle, as two Smackdown Superstars joined the Extreme main event in a Survivor Series preview.
While ECW champion Christian is the king of extreme, it was former ECW titleholder CM Punk who dominated the match, and enters this Sunday's pay-per-view with the momentum.
Survivor Series opponents met on ECW this week, as SmackDown's CM Punk joined William Regal to take on the blue brand's R-Truth and current ECW champion Christian.
In the end, Punk and Regal who are members of Team Orton at Survivor Series, gave themselves a boost as they recorded a huge victory.
After R-Truth injured his leg during a kick to Regal, Christian attempted the Killswitch on Punk. But Regal retaliated with a running Knee Trembler, allowing Punk to capitalise and hit the ECW Champion with a devastating Go To Sleep finisher.
Christian and R-Truth now head to Survivor Series as part of Team Kingston on the back of defeat, whilst Punk and Regal have the upper hand.
Which team will walk away from Survivor Series victorious? Team Kingston or Team Orton? Tune in this Sunday night from 1am as Survivor Series comes to you LIVE and exclusively on Sky Box Office.
Also this week on ECW, The Hurricane defeated Paul Burchill in a very exciting Mask versus Career match up. The Englishman was obsessed with unmasking The Hurricane, as he wanted to prove the man behind the mask was Gregory Helms.
But in the end, Burhcill could not achieve his goal to unmask the superhero as The Hurricane went on to claim a victory which means Paul Burchill and his sister Katie Lea must leave ECW for good.
