Batista heading to WWE TLC

The Undertaker: Animal match

Tune in next week, as Monday Night RAW airs LIVE and exclusively from 2am on Sky Sports 3 whilst Smackdown returns next Friday Night exclusively on Sky Sports Xtra from 10.30pm.

WWE Tables, Ladders and Chairs comes your way on the night of Sunday December 13th at 1am exclusively live on Sky Box Office.

The Animal Batista will face The Undertaker at next month's WWE TLC pay-per-view event after he defeated Kane in a Number One Contenders match on Friday Night Smackdown.

Chris Jericho strutted onto Smackdown, not only to assure victory against D-Generation X at the WWE Tables, Ladders and Chairs event in two weeks time, but also to insist that SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long place him in the Number One Contender's Match for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Instead, Long delighted the fans in attendance by informing Jericho that he would face The Undertaker later in the evening in a non-title match.

Before the main event got under way, Batista faced The Big Red Machine Kane in a fierce clash to determine the Number One contender for The Deadmans's coveted World Title at WWE TLC.

After being hurled over the barricade outside the ring, Batista used the obstructed view to hit The Big Red Machine in his injured knee with a steel chair, rendering his opponent unable to answer the 10-count and winning himself another chance at the World Champion's title.

The new Number One Contender for the World Heavyweight Championship, The Animal Batista, later joined the announce team at ringside, to take in The Phenoms battle with Jericho in what proved to be a high-octane main event.

But just when it looked like The Demon of Death Valley was about to Tombstone his way to victory, The Animal struck.

Brutal

After causing Jericho to lose by disqualification, Batista added to the first-ever Undisputed WWE Champion's post-match Codebreaker on the Deadman with a brutal chair assault.

Also on Smackdown this week, Intercontinental Champion John Morrison defeated boyfriend of Vicky Guerrero, Eric Escobar. The Shaman of Sexy won courtesy of his dazzling Starship Pain manoeuvre.

Matt Hardy defeated Straightedge Superstar CM Punk via disqualification. In an encounter that looked as if Hardy would rise above the former World Champion, the vicious Luke Gallows, formerly known as Festus unleashed an unrelenting assault that left Hardy motionless in the centre of the ring.

Finally, The Hart Dynasty defeated Cryme Tyme in Tag Team action. A distracted Shad found himself on the receiving end of a back suplex executed by David Hart Smith which in the end was enough to secure victory.
