Monday Night RAW was the setting for what turned out to be a night of despair for Unified Tag Team champion Chris Jericho.
The Unified Tag Team champions kicked off the show in the ring as they reiterated their intent on defeating D-Generation X at WWE TLC in two weeks time.
Fed up of listening to Jerishow run their mouths, Triple H then challenged Jericho to a match later in the night, which would have devastating consequences for the loser.
Should Jericho win, Triple H would face Jerishow next week in a handicap match, but if Triple H were to be successful, Jericho would face the might of the DX Army.
The closing stages of the match saw Big Show strike Triple H with a knockout blow to the head.
But whilst a distracted referee ejected Big Show from the arena, HBK hit Sweet Chin Music on Jericho. The referee then ordered Michaels to leave ringside also.
Jericho and The Game finally made it back to their feet and pulled out all the stops in order to win the intriguing main event.
Jericho tried to execute a Codebreaker but Triple H reversed it into a Pedigree attempt which again was reversed into an attempted Walls of Jericho.
However The Game pushed Jericho off who then crashed into the corner, causing him to fall back into the path of his rival who then rolled him up for the one-two-three.
Next week, Jericho could ultimately wrestle his last match on Monday Night RAW as he takes on both members of D-Generation X who must surely have the momentum heading into next week's handicap match.
Santino Marella was the victim of a vicious assault by Sheamus who is focused on winning the WWE championship from current champion John Cena at WWE TLC.
The Irishman pummelled Santino in the ring and sent a message to The Champ after ramming Santino back first through a table.
Cena though couldn't wait for WWE TLC and instead challenged Sheamus to a WWE title match on RAW, but to his disappointment he was confronted by an angry Carlito who aired his views on the current champion.
After Cena threw Carlito out of the ring, Sheamus appeared, but instead of going on to face Cena, he thought better of it and returned to the backstage area.
Randy Orton struck with an RKO to defeat bitter rival Kofi Kingston in their scheduled match up.
The Dreadlock Dynamo found himself at a disadvantage before the match got under way as Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase staged individual attacks of their own to give their mentor the edge.
Not content with victory, The Viper then proceeded to grab Kofi by the head, position him atop the ring post and deliver an evil looking DDT.
Special guest host Verne Troyer organised a non-title match between The Miz and The World's Strongest Man Mark Henry.
In the end, it was the power of Henry that prevailed as he executed The World's Strongest Slam to gain a clean pinfall victory over the United States champion.
Finally, in Divas action Maryse and Jillian teamed up to defeat Divas champion Melina and her tag team partner Gail Kim.
Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban who is well known in the NBA will host the final edition of RAW ahead of WWE TLC, and you can be part of the action LIVE and exclusively next Monday night from 2am on Sky Sports 3 and HD3.
