Champion Sheamus wrestled his first match on RAW since defeating John Cena in a Tables Match last Sunday at WWE TLC.
The Celtic Warrior welcomed a challenge from MVP and later went on to clock his first victory as titleholder against The Ballin' Superstar.
After the match, however, Cena confronted Sheamus to invoke his rematch clause but the Irishman exited the ring and declined to grant the opportunity.
Having watched the confrontation, special guest host Johnny Damon arranged a title match to take place between the two next Monday Night on RAW.

Earlier in the night, Superstar of the Year Cena notched his third victory in seven days after he defeated The All-American American Jack Swagger.
Last week, Cena had vowed not to lose a match until he regains the WWE Championship, and the former champion kept his promise in tact, by executing his STF manoeuvre to record victory over Swagger.
Kofi Kingston teamed up with The World's Strongest Man Mark Henry and high-flyer Evan Bourne as they clashed with Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase.
The Dreadlock Dynamo went on to score a huge victory after striking DiBiase with Trouble in Paradise to earn the significant pinfall for his team.
The Miz squared off against Santino Marella who came to the ring dressed as Santino Claus. The Santa Claus lookalike found himself on the receiving end of a Skull Crushing Finale which secured victory for the United States champion.
Guest host Damon arranged a match between rivals Chris Masters and Carlito. In the end, Carlito fell victim to the devastating Master Lock manoeuvre which was more than enough to secure victory for Masters.
After enduring weeks of legal threats, Unified Tag Team Champions D-Generation X finally attended "Little People's Court" where Hornswoggle testified in his case against the duo.
After a courtroom full of little people were shown videotaped evidence, the judge in the case found the pair guilty. Later in the night, the fan favourites announced Hornswoggle as The Official Mascot of D-Generation X.
Finally, Divas champion Melina, Kelly Kelly & Gail Kim defeated the team of Maryse, Alicia Fox & Jillian.
